We are seeking an Administrator (volunteer) for ODEF to take over from Liz who will be stepping down from the role.
 
You would use your administration skills to support ODEF’s work by running the ‘behind the scenes' side of ODEF – emails, website, finances, helping at the annual conference. 
 
This is NOT a time-consuming undertaking - most months this takes a maximum of two hours, including a ½ hour zoom meeting with the committee, with a lot of flexibility on when the tasks are completed. 
 
The role description incorporates the following:
 
Emails/website:

  • Keeping the mailing list up-to-date
  • Updating website pages 
  • Email monthly zoom prayer reminders and other emails - general/deanery synod issues, CEEC etc
  • Join in monthly committee zoom meeting and circulate very brief action points when needed.


Annual conference:

  • Book conference venue
  • Organise public liability insurance
  • Recruit helpers
  • Set up online ticket payment
  • Liaise with speakers and venue
  • Print out badges, buy refreshments and speaker lunches
  • Serve on the day
  • Pay speaker travel expenses


Finance:

  • Keep details of all ODEF financial transactions and give the committee an annual statement.

    A working knowledge of ChurchSuite would be very helpful although training could be given.
